All of my kinfes are dull and hard to use. I've tried many different knife sharpener and they are all either hard to use or never works well. All you need to do with this kinfe sharpener is to run your knife downwards a couple of time and you will be good to go. This item is also small enough that you can just store it in your cabinet.
I have been hand sharpening knives since a young boy in the late 50s. I’m not sure how many stones of all types and systems I have? This tool replaces them all. The proper use of the carbide blocks does the job. This small tool has an all metal frame and feels sturdy not cheap, you will be making razors out of blades before you know it. Very fair price and no stones to change or replace. I will buy more for gifts.
04/20/19 to date I have bought 6 of these, 3 as gifts. Still amazed how quickly and nicely they put on an edge that is very sharp. For max edge the last step is to very gently polish the edge to burnish it like using a steel.
04/26/19. I have gotten even better with these. The best last step is to gently, using almost just the weight of the knife, polish the tiny burrs off the blade edge.
I bought this sharpener to replace a older one that was mostly plastic and didn't work very well. This sharpener provides excellent results on all our knives from my small Buck pocket knife to our large kitchen knives, several of my husband Friend good kitchen were pretty dull because the old device just didn't work well but after just a few pulls through this sharpener they were much sharper and after going through the several steps shown and explained on the box this sharpener comes in all our knives are as sharp now as they were when they were brand new.
I bought this one for my mom. She tried it. It worked very good. She told me that she will buy more in order to give her friends. Thanks the seller.
It’s small, so it is doesn’t take much space. I did not hold the shappener to sharpen the knife. I wanted to see how stable the shappener was. It was quite stable, but It should be easier to sharpen my knives if i do hold the side of the shappener
